Postscript Progress Check a Month Later: Well at least I saw The Good Thief. Hyde Park Theatre consistantly does some of the best theatre you can see in Austin. I highly recommend checking it out.

What is the point of a facebook group if you can’t invite everyone in that group to something? No, you have to go to the friend invite page and then paste a freaking line of code in the address bar and press enter in order to do this thing that should just be able to be done automatically. SHEESH. Facebook really chaps my hide sometimes.

Saw some shows this weekend. Meant to blog about it. Sorry! Of what I saw, Showdown is the one most likely to get me coming back for more. It’s serialized improv, folks! In the style of Deadwood. With a mighty fine cast, I might add. Saw the first one, and you can damn well be sure I’ll be at the last, five episodes later. Don’t worry, they give a recap before each episode, so as you don’t miss nuthin.

dirty dozen

I just spent the morning (1am to 6am) sending literally a dozen emails, a dozen hard emails, about the many facets of this damn show. Now all I have to do is draw up a map of the stage and set by 8:30 for the lighting designer. So I can probably just take a power nap, wake up in an hour, draw up that map, go open the theater for the set builders, drop in to the office for the first time in a week, finish up the cue list for lights and sounds, mark up the script, print lotsa copies of both, find people to do lights, sound, and projector for the next two weekends, memorize my lines, put together a new sound effects cd . . .
